Deputies report that east west county roads are drifted over in many areas. 4 wheel drive vehicles are able to pass but passenger cars will struggle. State roads are passable but snow covered. Current radar indicates snow fall will be patchy. A north wind between 10-20 mph is primary cause for drifting and limited visibility in some areas. All schools in the county are currently closed. The County Highway has advised that plow trucks will be out in full starting at 5:00 A.M. Please use good judgement and caution if you have to travel, especially during the early morning hours. Those residing in rural areas may consider delaying work travel if possible, until plows have opportunity to get to your road. County Commissioners will be discussing conditions at 6:00 A.M.
