#PPD THE PASADENA POLICE DEPARTMENT ADVISES THE AREA OF WASHINGTON BETWEEN FAIR OAKS AND MARENGO IS SAFE AND OPEN.

Earlier this evening, the Pasadena Police Department responded to call of "Shots Fired" in the area of Raymond Ave., and Washington Blvd. Officers encountered a male matching the description of the alleged suspect and upon contacting him, a foot pursuit ensued. The Officer observed the suspect to be armed with a handgun during the foot pursuit. The Officer lost sight of the suspect in the 1400 block of Summit Ave., and a containment of the area was established. After an extensive and systematic search, the suspect was not located.

The Pasadena Police Department wants the public to know that the area is SAFE to re-enter and the Police activity has ceased. We would also like to encourage any members of the public that may have information as it pertains to the shooting or if you know the suspect to please call the Pasadena Police Department. No one was injured as a result of this incident. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.
