On January 29, 2015, at approximately 1:09 am, Officers responded to the intersection of Broad and Industrial for a stabbing that had just occurred. Officers arrived to find the victim with a puncture wound to his abdomen. ALLEN and victim are acquaintances but were not together prior to the attack. According to the victim and a witness, the attack was unprovoked and came without warning. The victim and a witness provided the name and a description of ALLEN staiting he fled on foot prior to officers arriving. The victim was transported to Sierra Vista by ambulance where he was admitted for treatment.
Officers located ALLEN a short time later at the Edna Valley Shell station, Broad and Tank Farm. ALLEN was taken into custody without incident and was subsequently booked at the San Luis Obispo County Jail on a charge of 245(a)(1)PC, Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Bail was set at $25,000.
