The victim of the hit and injury collision has been identified as 50 year old, Emilio Simon from West Covina. Mr. Simon was struck by the suspect vehicle on the evening of January 23, 2015 at approximately 8:10 PM. Emilio was crossing the street when the vehicle struck him. The collision occurred in the 1200 block of West Francisquito Avenue in West Covina. The suspect vehicle fled the scene immediately after striking Mr. Simon. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a silver 1997 to 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee with damage on the driver side.
