Advisory

Storm Alerts & Tips from North Brunswick Police Department:

Storm Alerts:

--> Please move all vehicles off of the roadways to allow for our DPW crews to clean the roadways. They will be up working for you all night, it's the least we can do to make their job a little easier. It also allows for wider paths in case of emergency traffic.

--> In anticipation of the upcoming major winter storm tonight into tomorrow, North Brunswick residents who live on a designated Snow Emergency street must remove their vehicle from the street. Township Police will strictly enforce this no parking ban and cars will be towed for those who do not comply. All residents are strongly urged to get all vehicles off Township roads in order for proper and efficient snow removal.

Below is a list of snow emergency streets:

Cranbury Cross Road
Hermann Road
Nassau Street
Newton Street
Ridgewood Avenue
Aaron Road
Independence Boulevard (both sides of Rt. 130)
Hartland Commons
Hidden Lake Drive
Schmidt Lane
Willowbrook Drive
Axel Avenue
Woodland Ave. (from Jerome terminus to Stevens Street)
Cleremont Avenue
Carlisle Road
Masoma Road
Serviss Avenue (from intersection of Stevens St. to dead end of Serviss Avenue)
Beverly Avenue (from Oakwood Place to Livingston Avenue)
Beechwood Place (from Glenridge Avenue to Cleremont Avenue)
North Oaks Boulevard

--> If you live near a fire hydrant, please help the Fire Department and your neighbors, by shoveling around the hydrant. This could be a life saving measure!

--> Only travel if ABSOLUTELY necessary. Please do not put yourself or others in danger unnecessarily.

--> In case of power outages, please contact the utility company (PSE&G) directly. Please do not tie up emergency phone lines with these calls. The Police Department can not help with making the power come back on any sooner.

--> Also, if you or a loved one requires the services of personal care assistance, home health aide, visiting nurse, or other medical professional in their home, please discuss the upcoming weather conditions today with your care provider to assure that adequate arrangements can be made for the next few days.

Stay warm, stay safe, stay home!!!
