The Sonoma County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a subject who was found deceased in Rohnert Park, California, earlier this month.
On January 2, 2015, at approximately 2:02 PM, a man was found deceased along the access road that travels parallel to the creek, between The Motel 6 and the Expressway Self-Storage, on Commerce Boulevard in Rohnert Park.
There was nothing suspicious about the scene and he did not appear to be the victim of foul play. An autopsy revealed that he died of natural causes.
The deceased was a white male, between 40-55 years old, 5’11” and weighed approximately 220 lbs.
He had male-pattern baldness and a full beard. The facial hair on his chin was gray, however the rest of his hair was brown.
The man wore prescription glasses aviator-style metal frame. The subject also wore a gray Timex digital-faced watch.
The man was wearing a black Ben Davis ½-zip shirt, a brown zippered vest, a camouflage ½-zip jacket, black pants, white socks and grey athletic shoes.
There was a black bicycle that had multi-colored speckling on the frame found near the decedent. Attached to the rear of the bicycle was a towable child carrier.
The man also carried various property including a red 7” Polaroid tablet, a Cobra camera in a case, 4 micro SD cards, 3 memory cards, and a micro solar panel. He kept a journal which contained various writings regarding math, physics, and science.
There were other notes found on scrap pieces of paper indicating the decedent frequented libraries.
Attached is a sketch of the deceased. Please look at it carefully. We are asking for your help in identifying the man so that we can contact his family.
