The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for tonight, Monday, January 26 and tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2015.

Major snow accumulation and potentially dangerous winds are expected with this storm.

Road conditions are expected to be extremely dangerous. Residents are urged to stay off the roads during this storm. Unnecessary travel should be avoided for reasons of safety.

For safety reasons there will be no garbage or recycling pickup tomorrow. Please hold trash/recycling until your next scheduled day.

In order to allow the streets to be cleared of snow as quickly and effectively as possible, there will be no on-street parking allowed tonight and tomorrow. Please cooperate with this request.

If you have a direct vent furnace/boiler or dryer, please check your discharge vents for blockage by snow drifts or damage from snow falling off roofs.

In the event of a power outage, residents with generators should insure proper venting. Never run a generator indoors and be sure that drifting snow does not impede outside venting.

Use caution when using candles and never leave a lit candle unattended.

If you have a fire hydrant on or near your property, please attempt to clear the snow around the hydrant, allowing the fire department quick access in an emergency.
