On Saturday January 24th at 8:34am, APD officers were sent to the 4100 block of Tulane reference a male subject seen prowling around in the neighborhood. The caller stated the male had been seen getting inside different vehicles that were parked in front of house on the block. Upon arrival officers located the male suspect sitting in the front seat of a Dodge PU that was sitting on the street. He was identified as Hunter Ryan Handley W/M 18 of Canyon. Investigation revealed that Handley had entered several vehicles that morning however only took items out of a few of them. Officers were able to determine that Handley had stolen a GMC PU out of Canyon earlier this morning and that it was parked at the end of the block. He also had the keys to the stolen PU in his pocket. Property that Handley was in possession that was determined to have been stolen was returned to its rightful owner. The stolen vehicle was impounded and will be returned to the owner. Handley was arrested and booked into Randall County Jail on a charge of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle; Burglary of a Motor Vehicle and one Randall County warrant for Consumption of Alcohol by a minor.
