Home Invasion Robbery - (UPDATE)

On January 22, 2015 at approximately 12:28 pm the Tustin Police Department responded to the 14600 block of Peppertree Circle reference a 9-1-1 call of a female requesting help. Officers responded to the residence and contacted the 80 year old female victim. The victim was alone in her home when she heard the doorbell ringing; she did not answer the door. A short time later she noticed Suspect #1 inside her home. Suspect #1 ordered her to another room where Suspect #2 was standing. The suspects tied the victim’s arms and legs then proceeded to ransack the home. After rummaging through the home, the suspects stole the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene.

After the suspects left the residence the victim was able to call 9-1-1. The suspects were gone prior to the arrival of the officers.

The suspects fled in the victim’s tan Lexus and it appears a dark colored SUV may also be involved.

The victim received minor injuries.

While investigating this scene Officers noticed pry marks to the victim’s sliding door, which appears to be the suspect’s point of entry.

On January 22, 2015 at approximately 1:13 p.m., officers from the Los Angeles Police Department located the victim’s vehicle in the City of Los Angeles. As part of their investigation, LAPD officers detained three subjects near the vehicle.

Tustin Police detectives responded to Los Angeles and interviewed the three detained subjects. The detectives determined they were not involved in the Tustin incident and the subjects were released.

After further investigation it appears the same suspects are responsible for two additional residential burglaries in the area that occurred just prior to the home invasion.
