Castaic and Val Verde, Zone 2, Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information. Snapshot 1/12/2014-1/18/2015.

The following crimes were reported in Zone 2, Castaic/Val Verde.

A residential burglary was reported from the 27000 block of Mariposa Lane.  The resident awoke to sounds of someone climbing in a bedroom window.  A scuffled ensued when the homeowner confronted the suspect.  The suspect fled when the homeowner called 911. 

A residential burglary was reported from 30000 Cedar Creek Lane.    The owner reported a 2003 Honda Shadow was stolen from inside her garage.  The owner said the garage door was unlocked at the time of the incident. 

A theft was reported from a business on Castaic Road.  The suspect took concealable items from the store and exited without paying. 

Deputies patrolling the Castaic area arrested a burglary suspect from a home burglary reported in December of 2014.
