Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call for service in Agoura Hills yesterday, after receiving a complaint that an unknown male had locked himself inside a local business and was refusing to leave. After arriving at the location, deputies contacted the male who claimed he had heard voices coming from inside his trunk and under the seats of the vehicle he was driving. He claimed he had ran inside the building and locked himself inside in order to escape from the voices he was hearing. After doing a search of the male and his vehicle, deputies recovered a baseball bat, multiple knives, and hammers, as well as two box cutters found inside the male's pockets.
After determining that the male was in fact a threat to himself and others, deputies transported him to Olive View Medical Center where he was evaluated by a doctor, and placed on a 72 hour hold (5150 W.I.C.) to undergo further evaluation.
