Porter County-A South Haven (Valparaiso) man was arrested, yesterday, on charges of Possession of Child Pornography and Distribution of Child Pornography.
Indiana State Police Master Trooper Mike Jones, along with the FBI Gang Response Investigative Team (GRIT) investigators, served a search warrant issued by the Porter County Prosecutor’s office yesterday, January 19th, 2015, in response to an out of state investigation. After the search of the residence of Zachary D. Berkshire, 31 of 339 Briarwood, South Haven, Indiana, was taken into custody and charged with Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography.
A thirteen year old alleged victim from Lake County has been identified from examination of articles taken from the home; charges of Child Molestation in Lake County are pending. Federal charges may also be filed.
Berkshire was taken to the Porter County Jail.

Possession of Child Pornography, Level 6 Felony
Distribution of Child Pornography, Level 6 Felony
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
