#LASD Special Enforcement Bureau Helicopter Rescue, Angeles National Forest

VICTIM: 2 Male Adults, 1 Female Adult
LOCATION: Switzer Falls at Bear Canyon, Angeles National Forest
UNIT: Special Enforcement Bureau- Sergeant Barth
NARRATIVE: Three victims were hiking in the Angeles National Forest when they went off trail and became stranded on top of a mountain. They were unable to proceed back down the mountain and became disoriented. One hiker was able to make a cell phone call to the local Sheriff Station, Crescenta Valley Station, and request help. Air 5 Rescue was dispatched to the incident and located the victims stuck on the mountain ridge with their dog. A hoist rescue was conducted and all three victims and their dog were hoisted into the aircraft, uninjured, and released to the Montrose Search and Rescue. Rescue footage available by request.
