On Friday, January 16, 2015, at approximately 2:03 A.M., Turlock Police Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call of a physical fight in the area of the 100 block of S. First Street in Turlock. While officers were arriving, one of three suspects shot a firearm and a bullet struck a parked vehicle. The three suspects ran to a black Chevrolet Camaro which drove away and a vehicle pursuit ensued. Officers terminated the pursuit when they lost sight of the vehicle. The Camaro was found after having crashed a short time later. Subsequently, officers conducted an area search that included the use of a police canine. Two suspects were apprehended; Mario Garandia, 20 years old, and Julio Mancillas, 24 years old, both from Turlock. Both subjects were booked into the Stanislaus County Jail on multiple charges.
