Synopsis: An 80 year old male victim was walking westbound 3700 Richmond St in an implied crosswalk from 1400 Essex St. A 65 year old male driving a Hyundai was crossing southbound Richmond St and hit the victim while he was in the implied crosswalk. The victim was transported to a local hospital with a fractured pelvis, broken bones and head trauma. The victim is in surgery at this time. San Diego Police Traffic Division is investigating. ***UPDATE*** At 2008 hours we received an update that the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
