Chino- A Man Arrested for Child Abuse Following a Report to a School Resource Officer

LOCATION: 3900 Block of Roswell Court, Chino
SUSPECT(S): Joe Patino, age 37 of Chino
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On January 6, 2015, a juvenile female contacted Deputy Marlene Thompson, School Resource Officer at Ayala High School in Chino Hills. She advised the deputy of ongoing physical and mental abuse she has suffered at her residence in the unincorporated area of Chino.
Deputies and Detectives from the Fontana Sheriff's Station initiated an investigation and identified the suspect as Joe Patino. A search warrant was conducted at the suspects residence, detectives gathered additional information regarding allegations of abuse. Joe Patino was taken into custody, transported and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for PC 273 Cruelty to a Child. The victim and other minors in the home were taken into protective custody by Children and Family Services.
