Gilbert Lopez of San Bernardino Arrested for Lewd Acts with a 9 Year Old Female

SUSPECT(S): Gilbert Lopez, age 42 of San Bernardino
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On January 11, 2015, a 9 year old female victim disclosed to her mother that she had been sexually abused by a family member. The parents contacted sheriff's deputies at the Fontana Sheriff's Station and an investigation was initiated. Fontana Station detectives conducted an extensive investigation and identified Gilbert Lopez as the suspect. An arrest warrant was secured for Lopez and detectives took him into custody as he left his residence in the unincorporated area of San Bernardino on January 13, 2015.
Lopez was interviewed and subesquently arrested, transported and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for several counts of PC 288 Sexual Abuse of a Minor.
