Fontana Woman Arrested for Lewd Acts with a 6 Year Old Girl

SUSPECT(S): Martina Zacarias, age 47 of Fontana
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: In December of 2014, deputies from the Fontana Sheriff's Station received a report from a mandated reporter of an inappropriate relationship occurring with a 6 year old girl. Deputies were advised that the suspect was known to the victim. Deputies along with the Children and Family Services immediately initiated an investigation.
Detectives conducted an extensive investigation and identified Martina Zacarias as the suspect. Zacarias was entrusted to care for the child as a babysitter. An arrest warrant was secured for Zacarias' arrest and detectives took her into custody at her residence on January 14, 2015.
Zacarias was interviewed and subesquently arrested, transported and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for several counts of PC 288, Sexual Abuse of a Minor. Zacarias' bail was set at $1,750,000.
