On December 15, 2014, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Homeless Outreach Proactive
Enforcement Team located a stolen vehicle in the Santa Ana Riverbed near Central Avenue and Mountain View Avenue in
the city of San Bernardino. Located around the perimeter of the vehicle were quad tire track marks. Deputies followed
the tracks which led back to the camp belonging to Michael Bell however, they did not locate Bell.

Over the past several months, deputies have made contact with Bell and each time, observed a quad located in his camp.
On Monday, January 12, 2015, deputies from Loma Linda were given information regarding Bell's whereabouts. Deputies
located Bell at an auto body shop in the city of San Bernardino. During their contact with Bell, he provided deputies with a
false name. While talking to Bell they observed the quad belonging to Bell inside the auto shop. The tire tread was an exact
match to the one located near the stolen vehicle.

Michael Bell was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Central Detention Center on suspicion of
Grand Theft of a Vehicle.
