What:   The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department‘s Inmate Services Bureau – Education Based Incarceration Unit (E.B.I) and Five Keys Charter School is proud to announce the graduating class of Pitchess Detention Center. Approximately 26 inmates/students from Pitchess Detention Center North Facility, South Facility and North County Correctional Facility will participate in the commencement ceremony. The graduates completed high school courses which included the following subjects:  US History, Genetics & Ecology, Geometry, Biology, Spanish, and a variety of other subjects. The program is designed to meet the California State High School Standards and a safe and empowering environment, conducive to learning and self-retrospection. It allows offenders to reprioritize their lives and opt for success. 

 

Sentenced inmates will be available for interviews following the graduation ceremony.

 

When:   Friday, January 16, 2015, at 10:00 a.m.
