Detectives arrest suspect for inappropriate conduct with a minor

Date of Release: January 13, 2015

On Wednesday, January 7, 2015, the West Covina Police Department launched an investigation connected to allegations of inappropriate contact between a 17 year old student and a coach
working at a local high school.

Later that evening, Detectives assigned to the case arrested Anthony Vidales, 29 of Covina for inappropriate conduct with a minor and booked him at the West Covina Police Department. Vidales' bail is set at $20,000.00.

Vidales is a contracted part-time wrestling coach assigned to
South Hills High School which is within the Covina-Valley Unified School District. The contact person for the Covina-Valley Unified School District is Michelle Van Der Linden, Public Information Officer. Ms. Van Der Linden can be reached at 626-974-7000 x2082.

The details regarding the case are not being released as the matter remains under investigation.
