Driver Hospitalized After SUV Rolls Over

Putnam County – This afternoon at around noon, ISP and Putnam County emergency agencies responded to a one vehicle crash on County Road 750 East North of Rangeline Rd. Responders found an SUV inverted with a male driver unresponsive and still in the vehicle.

Preliminary investigation revealed the SUV was traveling North on CR 750E when, for reasons unknown, the SUV left the roadway on the west side and entered a field. Fillmore Fire Department was first on the scene and removed the driver, 76 year old Ronald O’Neal of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Mr. O’Neal was unresponsive and responders began CPR. O’Neal was transported to Putnam County Hospital where he was later flown by Lifeline to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis for treatment of internal injuries.

The crash was investigated by ISP Trooper Michael Wood, assisting were Trooper Chris Harcourt, Putnam County Sheriff Scott Stockton and deputies Donnie Pettit and Tom Helmer, Fillmore Fire Department and Putnam County Operation Life.
