On Jan. 10th, a report of mail scam was filed in the 100 block of Waterlace Way. The victim had applied for a secret shopper position online and received three checks which were fraudulent. The scam was to cash the checks and send some of the money back through green dot cards. Please do not fall victim to these types of scams. Returning money to a person that sent you the check is usually a good sign.
