Second suspect, Victor Swann, charged with stealing scrap metal and selling it 
Detective Paul Alkire of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Victor Robert Swann, 54, of Landis Lane in Nebo, with one felony count each of larceny and obtaining property by false pretense.
On Aug. 4, Steve Melton, of Fairview, reported that someone took $1,100 worth of scrap metal and fencing from his property on Landis Lane.
Another suspect, 46-year-old Roy Junior Hudson, of Shelby, was allegedly caught on trail cameras stationed around the property. He was charged shortly after the crime. Further investigation led to Swann, who allegedly aided Hudson.
Alkire said the two sold the metal to a local scrap yard.
