ARRESTS:
 
#010 Possession of a Controlled Substance Arrest
Officer Forsberg and FTO Settle conducted a traffic stop on Porter St and arrested a 24 year old adult male, Hayward resident, for driving without a license, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. 
 
#017 Warrant Arrest
At 2:56 p.m., Officer Chinn was dispatched to a man down call at the Marriot Hotel and subsequently arrested a 34 year old adult male, Hayward resident, for an outstanding warrant.
 
#006 Central/Dusterberry
At approximately 3:10 a.m., Fremont Dispatch was advised from CHP of a possible drunk Taxi driver exiting Thornton Ave from southbound I-880.  Shortly after the broadcast, Officer Hartman witnessed a vehicle matching the Taxi description in the area of Central Ave and Dusterberry Way.  He continued to watch as the driver passed the limit line at a red-light and came to an abrupt stop approximately ¼ of the way into the middle of the intersection.  After the light turned green, officers conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver, a 48 year old adult male, Fremont resident.  After a series of field sobriety evaluations were conducted, the driver was arrested for DUI and booked into the Fremont Jail.

IH #1514 Outside Assist and Warrant Arrest
Boise Police Department (Idaho) contacted the Fremont Police Department to request assistance with the service of a homicide arrest warrant in our city.  The Southern Alameda County Major Crimes Task Force, with the assistance of patrol, responded to James Ave to serve the warrant.  A surround and call-out was initiated.  The suspect, a 34 year old adult male, Fremont resident, came out of the residence and was arrested without incident.  He was booked into the Fremont Jail on the warrant.  Boise PD has also released a press release related to this incident: http://police.cityofboise.org/home/news-releases/2015/01/officers-make-4th-arrest-in-boise-double-homicide-latest-suspect-arrested-yesterday-in-california/
 
#018 Commercial Burglary
At approximately 3:10 p.m., officers responded to a commercial burglary that had occurred at a restaurant in the Charter Square Shopping Center (2400 block of Fremont Blvd.).  The unknown suspects gained entry by smashing the front window.  Loss was currency.  Investigated by CSO Aguirre.
 
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES:

Officers took a residential burglary report on the 4900 block of Seneca Park Dr.  Unknown suspect(s) gained entry by prying open the front door.  Loss was a Sony Playstation 4.  The incident occurred sometime during the day.

Officers took a burglary report on the 3700 block of Summer Holly. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry by prying open the side garage door.  The burglary occurred during the afternoon.  The entire house was searched and loss included a laptop, tablets, jewelry, currency and purses.

Officers took a burglary report on the 3800 block of Decoto Rd.  At 1:14 p.m. the homeowner was advised that his home alarm was sounding.  The homeowner was nearby and responded to the house.  When he arrived, he found that suspects had kicked open the front door and were in and out quickly, exiting the same way. They pulled the alarm panel off the wall, tried smashing it on the kitchen floor (damaging the floor), then they immersed it in water. In the process they also damaged the front door and the door frame.  Loss was Apple products, cameras and a Kindle.

Officer took a burglary report on the 100 block of Wood Creek Tr.  The burglary occurred sometime during the day.  The point of entry appears to be via the front door by using a tool to pry it open.  The house was ransacked.  Items stolen include a tablet, a laptop, jewelry, currency and personal documents.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Wood Creek Tr. to investigate a burglary that occurred between 4:15 p.m. – 4:50 p.m.  Unknown suspect(s) kicked open the front door.  Loss included a PS3, jewelry, cash, a laptop, purses, tablets, and external hard drives
