Two Injured After Driver Fails to Stop for Red Light
Vigo County—At 12:21 this afternoon, Indiana State Police and Vigo County emergency agencies responded to a two-vehicle crash in the northbound lanes of US 41 at Springhill Drive. The crash injured both drivers.
Preliminary investigation revealed a white 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix was northbound on US 41 approaching Springhill Drive. A southbound red 2011 Chevrolet Impala was southbound on US 41 and attempting a left turn on a green arrow signal to proceed east on Springhill Drive. The northbound lanes were supposed to stop for the red light. The Pontiac failed to stop and struck the right rear of the Impala. Both drivers were treated at the scene by members of the Honey Creek Fire/Rescue Department and transported to area hospitals for medical treatment by Trans Care EMS and Riley Fire Department Medic 51.
Driver of Pontiac was Tracy S. Frazier, age 55, of Marshall, Illinois. She was treated at Union Hospital in Terre Haute for neck and back pain. Frazier was cited for Disregarding Automatic Signal.
Driver of the Impala was Colleen Ann Pettijohn-Spice, age 61, of Terre Haute, Indiana. She was treated at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute for neck and back pain.
The crash was investigated by ISP Sergeant Joe Watts.

Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
