Severe Weather Potential
A risk of severe weather exists tonight across portions of North and Central Georgia with the primary threat area being the counties of North West Georgia.
A line of thunderstorms are expected to enter the state from Alabama tonight ahead of a cold front. The storms may be strong to severe. The main hazards will be damaging wind gusts from storms that reach severe limits and heavy rainfall. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
Strong to severe storms will remain a risk through Sunday afternoon.
Residents across North Georgia should monitor local media and/or NOAA Weather Radio for later statements and possible warnings.
Instructions:
Remain weather aware, secure loose outdoor items to prevent property damage and monitor local media and/or NOAA Weather.
