Electrical Outage Prep List 
The City of Idalou has not experienced any electrical outages but you should be prepared if we do experience an outage. If you experience an outage within Idalou's city limits please contact Xcel at 1-800-895-1999.
Have the following items ready:
*Flashlights and batteries
*Candles, Matches, Lanterns. Do not leave lit candles unattended.
*Fire Extinguisher
*Battery Operated Radio
*Blankets
*Sleeping Bags
*Portable Cell Phone Chargers
During inclement weather please remember to keep safe, travel only if needed, check on your neighbors and keep your pets warm.
