Deputy Jack Gouge of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged John Michael Clark, 35, of High Peak Drive in Nebo, with felony possession of stolen property.
On Dec. 2, Tina Conner reported that someone stole a 2008 Lincoln from her residence on Reid Street in Marion.
While on patrol on Dec. 13, Gouge spotted the Lincoln on Pinnacle Church Road in Nebo and allegedly saw Clark driving. A short time later, deputies found the car abandoned on Harmony Estates Drive. Clark had fled the scene.
The Lincoln, valued at $20,000 was recovered.
