**3rd UPDATE**#LASD Death Investigation, 300 blk of Roughrider Rd, La Verne, San Dimas Station

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the murders of Shirley and Armie “Troy” Isom, who were discovered on Friday, December 26th, 2014 in the 300 block of Roughrider Road, in the unincorporated La Verne area of Los Angeles County.

Many detectives and forensic specialists have been involved in the investigation since the time the crime was first reported.  The expansive residence and its large-scale surrounding property led to a scene investigation that extended over several days.  In addition, detectives have interviewed family members and many area residents in an effort to determine the identity of the suspect(s) and a possible motive.  To date, no definitive conclusions have developed, and the detailed investigation will diligently continue into the immediate future.

The Sheriff’s Department has increased its uniformed patrol presence in the area of the crime, and residents are urged to call their local law enforcement agency if any suspicious activity is observed.  If an urgent matter arises, dial 9-1-1.

Detectives are also still working to identify and locate an Hispanic man who was seen walking on roadways in the area about the time the crime was discovered.  He was wearing a hooded jacket and was carrying a backpack on his back.  It is unknown whether this man is connected to the crime, but detectives are seeking to interview him regarding his observations and actions.  As additional information develops, more about the man may be released in the upcoming days.

Anyone who has information about the man is asked to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500. If you prefer to provide information anonymously, you may call "Crime Stoppers" by dialing (800) 222-TIPS (8477), or texting the letters TIPLA plus your tip to CRIMES (274637), or by using the website http://lacrimestoppers.org
