DATE OF RELEASE: December 31, 2014
Today at 0603 hours, the West Covina Police Department received a call of two men who broke into two occupied apartments located in the 3400 block of S. Maranville Court, West Covina. The men claimed to be police serving a search warrant. The suspects entered the first apartment occupied by 3 adults and 3 children, taking cash, an Xbox and games. The suspects then entered the second adjoining apartment and fled a short time later.
When Officers arrived, they met with the victims of the first location, but were unable to locate the victims of the second location. Witnesses saw those victims leaving the location prior to the officer’s arrival. It is unknown if property was taken from the second victim location. The investigation is ongoing.
The suspects are described as
#1 – M/B, 5’8, 180 lbs, wearing all black clothing and a vest with a small America Flag on it, armed with a handgun
#2 – M/W, 6’0, thin build, wearing a vest with a small American Flag on it, armed with a handgun
No suspect vehicle was seen.
