Sonoma County Sheriff Coroner’s Office is releasing the name of the person who died in the vehicle collision on the morning of December 30, 2014 between Fort Ross Road and Myers Grade Road, on coastal Highway 1 at mile marker 27.
The deceased is identified as Louis Francis Thoelecke, a 65 year old man from San Rafael. His family was located and informed of his death.
The California Highway Patrol is conducting the preliminary investigation into the circumstances surrounding the vehicle collision and related death. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a parallel investigation.
