HARD FREEZE WARNING URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE

Gusty and damaging winds will continue across portions of Los Angeles and Ventura counties this morning...
Freezing temperatures expected through New Year’s Day morning across much of southwest California...
Strong winds and very cold temperatures will remain over the area. Damaging winds with gusts over 60 mph will continue across portions of Los Angeles and Ventura counties into this afternoon where downed trees and power lines along with power outages will be likely in the warning areas.
The cold air mass will bring freezing temperatures to much of the region through New Year’s Day.
The Pasadena area will see 3 to 4 hours of freezing temperatures early Thursday morning.

Hard freeze warning remains in effect from 1 am to 9 am Thursday...

Temperatures...several hours of temperatures between 25 and 29 degrees are expected through early this morning. Colder temperatures are likely late tonight into early New Year’s Day with low temperatures expected to be in the lower to mid-20s.
