Deputies nab three Moses Lake men after Larson area burglary and recover thousands of dollars in stolen property.

MOSES LAKE, Wash. (30DEC2014) –Grant County Sheriff’s Office arrested three Moses Lake men suspected in a Larson area residential burglary after a patrolling deputy came upon two of them leaving the scene with stolen property. The first two suspects led the GCSO to a third suspect who was also arrested when found with additional stolen property from the residence.

The incident took place on the evening of December 19th, when a deputy came across the first two male subjects in the area of Arlington and Lowry around 7:30pm. One of the suspects was pushing an outboard boat motor in a wheelbarrow and the other suspect was carrying a large box of household items. The deputy made contact with them and through field interviews, learned that the items were being transported from the scene of a residential burglary in the 1200 block of Arnold Drive.

Further investigation of the residence, belonging to a homeowner currently out of the area, revealed that the doors and garage had been forced open and items had been stolen over an unknown period of time. Deputies were able to trace several thousands of dollars’ worth of stolen property to the residence of the third suspect.

All three suspects confessed to burglary and possession of stolen property, including theft of credit cards that were used in the Moses Lake area. All three were booked into the Grant County Jail on felony charges. The three suspects are:

• Robert Delvechio, age 37, Moses Lake
• Jackie Thomas, age 47, Moses Lake
• Christopher Apodaca, age 32, Moses Lake

The investigation is ongoing.

Sheriff Tom Jones said, “Our increased patrol efforts in the Larson area paid off with the apprehension of these three men caught red-handed. Between our continued patrols, the vigilance of the Larson community residents reporting suspicious activity, and the surveillance camera system coming soon, we will collectively continue to make it more difficult for these crimes to take place.”
