The Yolo County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about a phone scam involving an individual posing as a sheriff’s office employee. The caller is identifying himself as Lt. Michael Braton and telling residents they have an emergency and must return his call. The phone number being used is 530-215-5271. Residents who receive a call from the scammer are encouraged to contact their local police department’s non-emergency line to report the incident.
