SOAP LAKE, Wash. (23DEC2014) – Grant County detectives are questioning a woman in connection with the shooting of her husband this afternoon.
Emergency responders were called about 2:00 p.m. to a home in the 18000 block of Division 0.5 Road Northeast just south of the City of Soap Lake. They found a man in his 70s suffering from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was awake and talking when he was flown to Confluence Health/Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. His current condition is not known.
Detectives are interviewing the man’s wife, also in her 70s, in connection with the shooting. Aside from the couple, no one else was in the home at the time.
