On 12/22/2014 just after 9:00 am, Steuben County Sheriff’s detectives located and apprehended a wanted no-compliant registered sex offender in the 1100 block of Superior Drive in Auburn, Indiana. An arrest warrant had been issued by the Steuben Superior Court charging 25 year old Stevie J. Lozoya with one count of failure to register a sex or violent offender following a Sheriff’s Office investigation into an alleged violation of Indiana’s Sex and Violent Offender Registry law. Lozoya was taken into custody without incident and later booked into the Steuben County Jail. Lozoya remains held in lieu of a $10,000.00 bond pending an initial court appearance. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office also assisted Steuben County Sheriff’s detectives with the apprehension.
