Mission Senior Lead Officers hosted approximately 15 needy families today at Mission station for a special Holiday luncheon and gifts. Officers received financial support from area businesses in order to purchase gifts for children and their parents. One local business also donated Christmas trees.
The families and their sponsors had to opportunity to sit together and share a meal. The sponsors then presented the families with gifts, and had the opportunity to have a photo taken by the Station's Christmas tree.
Some of the Officers brought their children to make Holiday drawings to decorate the tables, and learn more about helping the less fortunate.
Officers could not have done this without the support of area business owners, who provided gifts and food. A very special thank you to the Office of State Assemblyman Adrin Nazarian for supporting this event.
