Attention Rutgers Community:
The Rutgers University Police Department (RUPD) is investigating a suspicious fire, suspected to be arson, which occurred on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at 1:03 PM at the Allison Road Classroom Building, located at 618 Allison Road, on the Busch Campus in Piscataway.
In this incident, a fire, which started in an unoccupied classroom on the second floor, was extinguished by the building’s fire suppression system. The building was safely evacuated and there were no reported injuries.
The Rutgers University Police Department is actively investigating the incident and asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, contact the RUPD Detective Bureau at (848)932-8025.

-Remaining alert and aware of the people and circumstances around you;
-Secure points of entry; and
-Immediately report suspicious activity to local law enforcement.
