12/18/14, press release: Robbery

On December 18, 2014 at approximately 6:45 pm, Burlington Police received a report of a robbery in progress at the Lakeside Pharmacy on Pearl Street in Burlington. Officers responded to the scene, arriving within minutes and began an investigation. The suspect was described as a White Male, 5’10”, Medium Build, Dark Shorts, Red Hooded “Gap” Sweatshirt, Surgical Mask, Ski Goggles, and a Santa-Claus Hat.

This individual entered the store, approached the pharmacy counter and indicated that they had a weapon while demanding opiates. The staff surrendered opiates to the individual, who subsequently fled on Pearl Street and then into the surrounding neighborhood. A track by a police canine developed some avenues of investigation but did not locate the individual. A full inventory of the type of drugs obtained and their quantity is still being conducted. No injuries were reported and no weapon was observed.
