ISP Camp Volunteer Holds Donation Drive for Local Animal Shelter at Caston School for Eagle Project

Zachary Slocum, 15, sophomore at Caston High School, is seeking donations for the Fulton County Animal Adoption and Education Center (FCAC). Slocum is seeking donations as part of a project to complete his Eagle Scout requirement. The Eagle Scout is the highest level that a boy scout can achieve in scouting. Zachary is an animal lover and would like to help take care of animals that often are forgotten at local shelters, especially during the holiday season.

Zachary is hoping to get donations, from the public, of pet supplies including food, toys, bedding, collars, and leashes. Cash donations would also be welcomed to purchase items for the FCAC, which serves as Fulton County’s animal shelter. The not for profit shelter is always in need of items to care for animals that for whatever reason makes it to the shelter for care.

Zachary and his helpers will set up a table in the lobby of the Caston High School gym on Saturday, December 20, 2014. They will be there from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. seeking any donations that the public would like to give. This is before and during the boys and girls basketball games between the Caston Comets and the Frontier Falcons. So come out to Caston High School on Saturday December 20th and support animals that love humans unconditionally and watch some exciting high school basketball.

The Fulton County Animal Adoption and Education Center opened its doors on October, 10, 2011. They are located at 1540 Wentzel St, Rochester, IN. They not only provide service to the Fulton County Animal Control Division, but also to the residents of Fulton County. FCAC receives dogs and cats from animal control officers, but they also take stray animals brought in and relinquished by county residents. These animals are then made available for adoption. To this date, they have found forever homes for hundreds of animals. Donations are always appreciated.
