On December 16, 2014, Manhattan Beach Police Detectives arrested Jameson Laforest (23yrs) in connection with the August 3, 2014 robbery at Prestige Jewelers located in the Manhattan Village Mall. Laforest was arrested at his Inglewood, California home without incident. A search of Laforest’s residence and automobile yielded further evidence of his crime, including a loaded firearm. Laforest posted a $140,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned on February 19, 2015 in Southwest Superior Court in Torrance, California.

Jamaal Andrew McKinney (21yrs), of Los Angeles, California was arrested by Westminster Police Department on November 12, 2014 for a jewelry store (Tick Tock Fine Jewelry & Watches) robbery in their jurisdiction. McKinney was connected to the Manhattan Beach robbery by evidence and statements, and is a known associate of Laforest’s. Upon completion of McKinney’s case, it will be presented to the District Attorney for filing of Robbery.
