Three Arrested With A Mobile Meth Lab
Muncie – An ongoing investigation into the manufacture of Methamphetamine led to the arrest of three individuals and the discovery of a meth lab in a pickup truck. Last evening just after 9:30 p.m. members of the Pendleton District Meth Suppression Squad along with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department stopped a Dodge truck on the Muncie Bypass at SR 32 for a traffic violation.
Gaston K-9 Officer Barber was nearby and came to assist. Officer Barber’s K9 partner indicated the presence of narcotics inside the truck. Further investigation revealed a working “one pot” meth lab under the seat of the truck. Precursors, or some of the chemicals used in the manufacture of Methamphetamine, were also found in the truck.
Arrested was the passenger in the truck Scott Brinker, age 44 (with no address listed,) charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Precursors, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of an Illegal Drug Lab, all level 6 Felonies.
Also arrested was a second passenger, Cassi Deboy, age 23 of Albany, and the driver of the truck, Stephen Phillips, age 28 of Muncie. They were both charged with Dealing a Precursor, level 6 Felony. All three were lodged in the Delaware County Jail.
