APD continuing investigation into Tuesday evening stabbing on Jasmine.
On Tuesday December 16th at 9:26pm, APD officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Jasmine on a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival an officer located an A/M 20 with a large laceration to the left forearm and who was bleeding profusely. Medical personnel were on scene and proceeded to treat the injured subject. Officers learned that the suspect and victim had been in a verbal argument and the suspect grabbed a large knife and swung it at the victim cutting his forearm. The suspect reportedly left the residence but was possibly still in the area. Officers began checking the area for the suspect and knocked on a door of a residence in within the block. Officers asked if the suspect was inside and the occupants pointed towards the rear of the residence. At that time an A/M that was covered in blood walked out of a bathroom. This male was taken into custody and it was determined that he was the suspect in the stabbing. Mula Htoo A/M 17 was arrested and booked into the Potter County Correction Center on a charge of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon against a Family Member. The victim was transported to a local hospital and his injuries are considered to be non life-threatening.
