Advisory

Fill The Cruiser Event to Benefit Area Families in Need. Copp's Grocery Stores Dec. 23rd from 12p-4p.

Starting this coming weekend all three of the Green Bay area Copp's grocery stores will be stocking pre-bagged grocery items that you can purchase to be donated. These bags of groceries were specifically requested by the folks at the New Community Shelter based on the needs they see for their community meals program. If you purchase one of these bags of groceries you will help us to Fill the Cruiser. On Tuesday, December 23rd between 12pm and 4pm officers from 3 local law enforcement agencies will be filling squad cars with the groceries and delivering them to the NEW Community Shelter for their immediate use over the holidays.

Members of the Green Bay Police Department will be at the Green Bay Copp's located at 1819 Main Street. Officers from the Brown County Sheriff's Office will be at the Copp's on Lime Kiln Road in Bellevue, and members of the Ashwaubenon Public Safety Department will be at the Copp's located on Lombardi Avenue.

Last year, our first time trying this event, we were able to bring 228 bags of groceries donated by good folks from our area over to the NEW Community Shelter even though we were only at one location. We are hoping to greatly increase those numbers this year since we will have officers at all three Copp's locations. Stop by, chat with some officers, and please consider donating if you are able. All proceeds will directly benefit local families in need during this holiday season and beyond. Thank you!
