A Green Bay citizen and several Green Bay Police officers will be presented awards at a ceremony at 1PM on Thursday, December 18th, at the Green Bay Police Department.

All recipients have been nominated by employees of the Police Department and presented awards based on the decision of the Police Department Awards Committee. The Committee is made up of seven Police employees selected by the Chief from a list of volunteers and serve a term of two to three years.

The citizens and officers who are receiving the awards have been determined to have acted beyond what was expected of them in service to their community and the Police Department, many times risking their lives in an effort to assist or save the life of another.

The awards will be presented at the Green Bay Police Department Training Center located at 307 S. Adams Street, Green Bay. Due to limited space the ceremony will be open to family and friends of the recipients and members of the media.
