Attempted Murder/Kidnapping Arrests

(Etowah County, Alabama) Four individuals have been arrested in connection the attempted murder of an Altoona man, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

“Lindsey Michelle Warren, 36, Ann Marie Dyer/Hahn, 43, Eric Lee George, 33, all of Altoona, and Brian Adam Maloy, 43 of Boaz, were arrested and are each charged with one count of attempted murder, one count of first degree kidnapping and one count of first degree robbery, all are felonies,” investigator Robin Grant said. Their bonds have each been set at $150,000 cash.

The violent abuse upon the male victim allegedly began over an argument about a stolen purse. The incident took place at several locations, in the Altoona area, on Sunday, December 7.

The victim’s hands were bound by handcuffs and his legs with duct tape as the group repeatedly beat the man with a bat-like object. They also stole his cell phone and $70 that was in the man’s possession.

Eventually, the victim was able to escape the violent attack and walked to a nearby residence where he sought help. He was transported to a Birmingham hospital where he was cared for in the intensive care unit for serious injuries. The man is now recovering at home.

All four suspects are currently being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center. Hahn was also served with three failure to appear warrants for traffic violations.
