The Sheboygan Police Department is accepting applications for the 2015 Citizen Police Academy. This is an 11-week class designed to educate the general public on police training and to give citizens a better understanding of a police officer’s job. This allows citizen’s to better relate to the difficulties officers face and facilitate a good working relationship between citizens and officers. Instruction is given through both classroom lectures and hands-on practical exercises. A total of 18 police related subjects are covered during this Academy. The goal is to build community support for the police department and have academy participants become advocates of the police department.

You must be 16 years of age or older to participate in the Citizen Academy.
