Hit and Run Injury Collision - Traffic Officers seek assistance to locate suspect vehicle.

On Friday, December 12, 2014, at approximately 5:55 p.m., a hit and run injury collision occurred in the area of High Street and Main Street in the City’s Irvington District. Fremont Police Traffic Officers are seeking the public's assistance to help locate the suspect vehicle.
The victim, an adult male Fremont resident, was standing to the rear of his work truck on High St. near Main St. and was in the process of gathering items from a storage box, when a vehicle traveling southbound failed to stop and subsequently collided with him. The suspect vehicle continued southbound without stopping and left the scene. The victim was struck by the right side-view mirror, which knocked him to the roadway and caused injuries. A mirror was located at the scene and appears to be from a Hyundai vehicle, possibly a dark colored “Santa Fe” SUV.
The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his non-life threatening injuries. Any witnesses or person’s having information about this collision are asked to contact investigating Traffic Officer K. Snow (badge #2536) at (510) 790-6800 x 2536.
