On December 13, 2014 at approximately 4:03 Am Absecon police responded in the area of North Shore Rd. and Faunce Landing Road for motor vehicle accident. Upon police arrival it was discovered a vehicle struck a utility pole splitting the pole from its base. As a result of the accident power in the area is out as well as traffic lights from Turner Avenue eastbound and westbound on Absecon Boulevard which was later put back in service by Atlantic Electric. Due to the accident Absecon Fire Department responded and mutual aid was utilized from Galloway Township Police Department as well as Pleasantville Police Department.
